SIINDA, one of the fastest growing media, digital media, search and data non-profit organisations, has acquired the activities of LOCAL SEARCH TODAY! and Yellow Search TODAY!, which organise a range of workshops and conferences.
Kimberli Lewis, general manager of SIINDA, said: “We have always been impressed by the Yellow Search TODAY! and LOCAL SEARCH TODAY! events and we believe that taking over these activities will enhance and strengthen the very popular SIINDA conferences and workshops going forward. We are certain that we are working in the interests of the market by consolidating the conference scene in Europe and we will build on the concept with one-day workshops that are more targeted at a different audience active in the operational level of customer management.”
Since the founding of their LST/YST conference concept in 2003, originally known as Yellow Pages TODAY!, Jesper Simonsen and Peter Buxton have organized 27 successful Workshops and Conferences targeted at the directory and later digital media market. Bert Jan ten Kate added considerable digital expertise and knowledge of the market when he joined the team in 2014.
Peter Buxton said: “We share the SIINDA view that this acquisition will be to the advantage of the many delegates and sponsors who find such events invaluable as a meeting place where they can be updated on new topics and developments in the digital media sector. The news was announced at the SIINDA Local Digital Media and Commerce Conference (LOCALCOMM) on 29-31 March, 2017 in London.
