Griffin Technology, the creator of award-winning and thoughtfully designed mobile and gadget solutions, has selected Global-e as its cross-border e-commerce partner, to support expanding its international reach outside the US, starting with the EMEIA markets.

Founded in 1992, Griffin Technology made a name for itself by designing and manufacturing innovative consumer technology accessories. Since then, the brand has grown to become one of the world’s foremost creators of accessories for home, mobile, and personal technology in the US. Today, Griffin designs, manufactures and sells mobile and gadget accessories to shoppers in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, through major retailers and online.

Last year Griffin appointed Apple’s former retail director, Neil Edwards, as managing director for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA). At Griffin, Neil has been tasked with expanding the business across the EMEIA region, and supporting international growth worldwide.

To capitalise upon the rapidly growing cross-border e-commerce market, and give international shoppers greater convenience and confidence to purchase, Griffin recognised that it needed to offer its shoppers in EMEIA and worldwide the same great shopping experience as in the US web-store.

Griffin partnered with Global-e to enhance its existing worldwide e-commerce offering, ensuring a consistently high quality experience for all shoppers worldwide, with fully localised pricing, local currencies, local payment methods, multiple shipping options, across all devices, without long and costly setup processes and investments.

Global-e’s fully responsive solution means that Griffin can now offer more than 60 currencies, over 45 different payment methods, localised multi-lingual checkout, multiple shipping options, and local duty and tax calculation and prepayment on any device.

Neil Edwards, Managing Director International, at Griffin Technology, said:

“We are focussed on growing the Griffin brand internationally and want to see Griffin become the go-to brand for tech accessories worldwide. Although we already have many existing customers outside the US, we recognised that we weren’t tapping into this potential customer base fully, especially online. To do that, we knew that we needed to offer a consistent and fully localised experience in every market. Global-e’s solution enables us to do just that and we are already seeing a significant increase in international sales as a result.”

Nir Debbi, co-founder and CMO, at Global-e, commented:

“Savvy brands like Griffin Technology are increasingly recognising the huge sales opportunity that cross-border e-commerce is opening up. However, without a fully localised shopping experience, retailers will struggle to take full advantage of this opportunity and give shoppers the confidence to make a purchase. To grow sales globally, retailers must ensure they are offering a consistent experience in all markets. We’re thrilled to be working with a forward-thinking brand like Griffin to improve the shopping experience for technology consumers internationally.”

The launch of the new Griffin website has been timed perfectly to coincide with the release of some fantastic product offerings including the likes of the Survivor Power Bank, the BreakSafe USB-C Power Cable, a new keychain-sized travel power bank for the Apple Watch and the Survivor Glass Protector, among others.
