Climb Online, the digital marketing agency founded and directed by 2014’s Apprentice Winner, Mark Wright, has won Google’s latest agency competition, ‘Game On’, securing a trip of a lifetime to the search engine’s Californian headquarters and Google Partner Summit.
With success deciphered by AdWords spend, Climb Online scooped the top spot and spent a massive £400K on Google’s advertising platform between 4th January and 31st March 2016 on behalf of its clients, beating 699 other agencies across the UK.
This achievement is demonstrative of Climb Online’s continuous growth and success over the past 15 months - with the agency now boasting over 230 clients within the UK and overseas, including renowned brands Groupon, Company Check and Be Wiser Business Insurance.
Mark Wright says: “Winning Google’s agency competition at such an early stage in the development of Climb Online is a real testament to our expertise, growth and success – and I genuinely couldn’t be more proud.”
“In particular, I am extremely grateful to all team members who have, and continue to work, tirelessly around the clock to ensure we create and manage strategic digital marketing campaigns, whilst providing a high level of service to all customers, large or small,” he continues.
Google’s Game On was introduced to all partner agencies at the beginning of 2016, providing access to the latest research and data on consumer behaviour, seasonal trends and vertical insights. The Climb Online team have used this insight to develop and manage effective digital marketing campaigns, which has provided its clients with a positive return on investment (ROI), and supported business growth.
Climb Online team members will now compete to secure their place on the Californian trip, where Mark has tasked all 30 employees to create a new business development strategy for the agency, with Lord Sugar ready to judge and select the winners.
Lord Sugar confirms, “This is a real reward for Climb Online. No matter how well any business thinks they are going, the true test is to be placed against one’s peer group. We have now seen that out of seven thousand registered Google agencies in the UK Climb Online is ranked number one. This is another step for us in what has been a great start to our business.”
On completion of its first quarter in 2016, Climb Online is forecast to double its initial £1.7 million turnover by the close of the year, making it one of the most successful businesses to have been founded by The Apprentice platform.
