Today, Pure360, have revealed the results of its latest UK Buying Behaviour Study which determines the purchasing habits of modern consumers.
The study found that only a quarter of people admit to taking notice of marketing messages. A huge three quarters of people actively ignore marketing messages and 59% say they often feel overwhelmed by the amount of marketing information they receive.
Futhermore, almost two thirds of people believe the internet and social media have little or no influence over their buying decisions and 84% of UK consumers claim to spend more time than ever researching the purchases they make.
Abi Jacks, Head of Marketing at Pure360, comments; “The digital era has truly revolutionised buying habits and with consumers being daily bombarded with information, marketers must be more clever and tailored in their approach than ever before.”
