Who doesn't love a rule breaker? Someone who brings out the rebel that hides away inside ourselves. That's exactly what Stacy Westhead, director at Atom 42, is.
Intrigued? You should be. She's speaking at Integrated Live. So you definitely need to read on and then register!
What area of marketing do you specialise in?
As an agency, our roots are in PPC and SEO, but we now cover a huge range of areas, including content strategy, web design and development, social media, mobile, usability testing and CRM. Personally, I would say I specialise in holistic online marketing strategy.
How long have you been with the company?
How long have you been in marketing?
Why do you do what you do?
I did a degree in maths, but longed to do something a bit more creative. Marketing, and specifically online marketing, gives me the chance to combine my love of data and numbers with creative thinking.
Which marketing platform do you use the most? (It can't be your own!)
I really like using Searchmetrics; it gives simple, useful, easy to digest information on PPC and SEO performance.
If you could only use one marketing platform for the rest of your life, what would it be? (No it can't be yours this time, either!)
If I had to choose one it would be a tool like ahrefs, which would allow me to see how link profiles and link-building strategies change as Google updates its algorithm.
What is your favourite thing about marketing?
That it's a constantly changing space that is essentially limitless.
Is content still king?
Content is obviously still very important, but brands should focus, first and foremost, on their core product and the value they are adding to customers.
In a sentence, what's your presentation about?
Showing how the "rules" of online marketing can be bent in order to drive more standout and better results for your client / business.
You can find Stacy's presentation on bending the rules of marketing in the Content Theatre at 10:30am at Integrated Live on 16 November, but you'll have to register for your free ticket first:
