I'm spending the weeks running up to Integrated Live talking to as many of the speakers as I can. Because they are the best thing about Integrated Live - amazing people from amazing companies doing amazing things giving you amazing advice.

Next up is Claire Trévien, head of content marketing at Passle

What area of marketing do you specialise in?

Content marketing and social media marketing.

How long have you been with the company?

Nearly two years.

How long have you been in marketing?

Officially this is my first marketing job. The bulk of my previous experience comes from my other life as a poet needing to promote various projects I created. My previous career was in academic research and publishing.

Why do you do what you do?

Because it holds my interest.

Which marketing platform do you use the most (and it can't be your own!)?

Probably Twitter, both personally and professionally.

If you could only use one marketing platform for the rest of your life, what would it be (and you can't use your own!)?

Again, I'd probably pick Twitter!

What is your favourite thing about marketing?

There is a lot of room for creativity and playfulness.

Is content still king?

Ha, well as a believer in democracy I don't believe that content is an unelected leader irrespective of its qualities. Content that provides value or entertainment to its audience can indeed rise to prominence, but it doesn't exist in a vaccuum.

In a sentence, what's your presentation about?

I will be sharing 5 content marketing trends that are no longer effective this year - and suggesting better alternatives.

You can find Claire's presentation on content trends that no longer work in the Content Theatre at 11am at Integrated Live on 16 November, but you'll have to register for your free ticket first:
