The amazing thing about Integrated Live is that there really are so many amazing people giving the best advice out there in the marketing world. Even as someone working on the event, I spend my days in the run-up looking at which presentations I really want to see. I can't imagine what it's like for you!

That's why we're spending the next few weeks doing quickfire interviews with as many of the speakers as we can to give you a little insight into who they are, what they do and what they're going to be talking about at Integrated Live.

For this morning's interview, I caught up with Ran Berger, CEO and co-founder of Flat Rock Technology and Purify Digital.

What area of marketing do you specialise in?

We help marketers reach audiences through innovative technology routes, such as apps, VR, AR, websites; you name it.

How long have you been with the company?

Flat Rock was founded in 2008 and we acquired Purify Digital in 2014.

How long have you been in marketing?

I’ve worked in and around marketing for nearly all of my career!

Why do you do what you do?

Technology provides huge opportunities. We love helping marketing professionals understand how they can navigate new and exciting platforms.

Which marketing platform do you use the most? (Don't think about saying your own!) 

Mobile. I’m particularly excited about how marketers are using mobile in the developing world where adoption is continuing to rise.

If you could only use one marketing platform for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Based on potential alone, I’d chose VR. I think there are so many amazing opportunities for marketers to use VR and we’ll start to see it become a lynchpin in the ‘marketing toolbox’ within the next few years.

What is your favourite thing about marketing?

The opportunity to take sometimes complicated technology and develop innovative ways that can be applied to help brands sell.

Is content still king?

Reaching the masses with the right kind of content is as crucial as it ever was.

In a sentence, what's your presentation about?

Exploring how marketers can best use virtual reality to create compelling and engaging campaigns.
